Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using My Daily Lamp (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
My Daily Lamp provides daily Bible verse widgets, short devotional content, and a prayer community feature that allows users to share prayer requests and pray for one another. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
User Accounts
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.
User Content
When you submit prayer requests or other content through the App, you retain ownership of that content. By posting, you grant The Daily Lamp a limited license to display your content to your connected friends within the App. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
Community Guidelines
The prayer community is a place of encouragement and faith. Users are expected to treat one another with respect and kindness. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these principles or that are used for spam, harassment, or any purpose unrelated to faith and prayer.
Intellectual Property
All content provided by My Daily Lamp, including but not limited to devotionals, app design, logos, and graphics, is the property of My Daily Lamp or its licensors. Bible verses are sourced from publicly available translations and are attributed accordingly. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.
Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Devotional content is intended for spiritual encouragement and is not a substitute for professional counseling, medical advice, or pastoral guidance.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Daily Lamp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
